• Looking for Investor for Logging Operation in Canada

GBL is a forest products producer. The business is presently producing rough and dressed lumber and has an annual capacity of 6 million board feet but presently is producing 3 million board feet per year. The company will have Timber Rights and harvesting quota of 32,000 m3 annually. The company has a non-competition agreement with the only other forestry operation in the region. GBL gets all of this competitors high quality logs, so this gives GBL access to 60,000 m3 of logs per year. It is in the unique position of having no local competition. It presently has standing Purchase Orders for 3 million board feet and this number will soon increase drastically because of local development in the region, new hydro electric development and a large mining operation - INCO.
The trucking rates are quite expensive for competitors to ship their wood products into the region but 90% of the trucks back hauling are leaving empty so the company can get very cheap rates shipping their product into other markets. Their are several things that are about to happen for the company that will increase production and provide high quality logs. The company also has plans to produce more value added wood products such as wood flooring and mouldings in the near future.

GBL is also in negotiations with a company who wishes to produce our byproduct (slabs, wood chips and saw dust) into a wood fuel (wood pellets) for export. GBL will share in the profits of this operation. The company has experienced employees and a team of executives in place covering operations, management, marketing and sales.

GBL is in a very unique position and would like to take advantage of this opportunity. Therefore the company is seeking an investor to invest $500,000 - 1 million to consolidate all debt. The return is negotiable to the Investor. Shares, dividends, payback and a seat on board or management position.
